The Best NYC Views
Best NYC Views
I bet you are sitting at your computer, locked down hard at work. Do you ever just look out the window? NYC views are breathtaking; sometimes we get so busy we forget to appreciate this wonderful city. How’s your office view?
Some of The Best NYC Views
The Empire State Building, located at 350 Fifth Ave., rises over a quarter mile above Manhattan. The Empire State Building’s 86th and 102nd floor observatories offer panoramic views of New York City and beyond. On a clear day, you can see all the way to New Jersey, Connecticut, Massachusetts and Pennsylvania. Most head to The Empire State Building looking for the best view in NYC during the daytime, but there are some beautiful views to be seen at night.
Restaurant with a View
Del Frisco’s, located at 1221 Ave. of the Americas, is a luxurious three-story restaurant. While enjoying your impressive meal, you can look out floor-to-ceiling windows with breathtaking views of Sixth Avenue and nearby Rockefeller Center. Insider tip: reserve a spot here for the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade. You will enjoy a breakfast buffet indoors while enjoying the view of the crowds and floats.
Outside of Manhattan
Governors Island, accessible via the Battery Maritime Building in Manhattan and the Pier 6 in Brooklyn, is the closest point on land to the face of the Statue of Liberty, without going there. This is one of the oldest European settlements in New York. Here, you will find old chapels, Fort Jay and Castle Williams as well as open-air sculpture gardens.
Rockefeller Plaza Views
The Top of the Rock, located at 30 Rockefeller Plaza, offers views of the Empire State Building from three tiers of spacious 360-degree decks. The Top of the Rock rises an impressive 850 feet, making it the 10th highest in New York City. The observation deck has windows on the 67th and 69th floors, and is open-air at the 70th floor with only clear glass panels between you and the beautiful view you are sure to be taking pictures of. The view includes natural sights as buildings: the Chrysler Building, the Empire State Building, Grand Central Terminal, the Hudson River, the East River and, on clear days, the Verrazano-Narrows Bridge and Central Park.
