Traveling in general can be a stressful thing for everyone. Traveling for company trips adds another level to that stress. Will you get to your meeting on time? Will you have everything you need? Will you get your luggage back? How can you fold your suit so it won’t wrinkle? The biggest help in all of this is to stay calm and positive, and be prepared for anything. Here are a few more tips to travel worry-free.

Pick a Rewards Program and Stick with It:

If you find an airline that you enjoy, use them for all your company trips. Sign up for their rewards program and you will start gaining frequent flyer miles for every flight. Staying loyal to a brand brings many rewards and perks. The airline may even upgrade you to first class when you fly. You’ll be treated well for staying loyal, because the airline wants to keep your business.

There is a Difference between Direct and Non-Stop:

That difference being that a direct flight does not guarantee that you will not ever stop. It just means you will not have to switch planes. You will still stop at an airport and be stuck on the tarmac for a bit while new passengers come aboard. It is better to book a non-stop flight for company trips, as it will not stop until you get to your destination.

Just the Essentials:

If your company trips are just a few days, you will save yourself time and effort by just packing a carry-on bag. Not only will you not have to check in a bag, also you won’t have to wait at baggage claim. Pack only what you will need so your bag won’t be too heavy. If you need two bags, then use your carry-on bag for back-up essentials. Pack it with a change of clothes, toiletries, and any electronics you may need. Bring what will keep you comfortable on the plane including a pillow and your favorite ear-phones. An eye-cover will come in handy if you need to nap on the plane.

Getting through Security:

This is probably the most intimidating part of traveling. But as long as you are prepared, it can be a breeze. First Class allows you to speed through security. If you are not in First Class for company trips, you can still get through security fairly quickly and effectively. Have your driver license ready to go. You can ask the attendant which line will go faster. Try to get in a line with single riders, as they don’t have to worry about family members as well. Wear shoes that you can slip on and off quickly. And don’t forget to take your laptop out of your bag and take off your watch.

Get to work:
